We get two weeks off. Normally, I’d be more thrilled out-of-mind for it, if it wasn’t for Miss. Spitfire’s recent tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and Miss Superstar’s upcoming eye surgery.
Supposedly, the weather here in rumored “sunny” California, where I am, is supposed to rain all of our break. One of you stole my great weather. I’m looking for you, with my handy, dandy disguise.
One of my favorite games is hide-and-seek. So we played a lot while cooped up at home.
Over the weekend we enjoyed a brief reprieve with sun on Friday afternoon. I actually called the ENT doctor to ask if we could go to the park. Miss. Spitfire is not allowed strenuous activity for two weeks. They said it would better if she didn’t go to the park, so we decided a drive was in order.
Perhaps a trip to Pinkberry too.
I also received my pack of fingerstaches from Amazon over the weekend, so we promptly applied them to our fingers and posed.
I also ran out Friday night to catch The Hunger Games with a few friends. Have you seen it yet? What did you think? If you haven’t read the books – DOITNOW. That is all.
Sunday, Miss. Spitfire requested room service.
I don’t know if it’s because we have been trapped home for a week … but boy, the number of fights, tears, whining, arguments between the girls has reached an all-time high. I am losing my mind. I will need to get out of the house with them just for a change of scenery to stop this cranky attitude.
Are you on Spring Break? If you’re off doing something lovely, please share. I’ll enjoy it all vicariously through you this year.
