If you haven’t – you really need to check it out. Creative kids, and adults that support them, rule!
My daughters watched Caine’s Arcade on Saturday. On Sunday, I took my regularly scheduled, weekly, nap. When I woke up, I found that 7YO, Miss. Superstar had created her own version of Caine’s Arcade.
On Monday, 5YO Miss. Spitfire, asked me to help her with a project she came up all by herself. I love how she tries to shush her big sister, who interrupted her instructional video.
It makes me happy, and giggle with pride to see my daughters coming up with amusing ways of entertaining themselves, on their own. Instead of passively, sitting back and consuming media, I’m grateful that my munchkins are constantly, actively pursuing creativity, and creating their own brand of media.
Creative kids ROCK!
ps. There’s something so wonderful about seeing your kids make it on their own.
Just the other day this nursery song I heard when I was a kid, got stuck in my head.
Happy downpour Wednesday!
The Savior is risen. He is the gift. His life is an example. His mercy is our salvation. He is everything.
Christ gave His life for us. The best gift we can give Him, is how we live ours.
Did you know I have a fairy godmother?
I have one.
Those of you in the know, are familiar with my love of fantasy, fairy tales, and mythology. It’s why I got hooked on LOST. It’s why I’m enamored by Once Upon A Time. It’s why if you look on my Goodreads list – most books I fall in love with are in the realm of fantasy. There’s something about fictional stories, that bring out truths so effortlessly.
So, really, it’s no wonder that I was thrilled when asked to attend a press day for Mirror, Mirror.
I’m a very connected social media gal. Otherwise known as an addict. I got a kick out of Mirror, Mirror’s Social Queen.
ps. My review of Mirror, Mirror will be forthcoming… stay tuned!
This mash-up cracks me up.
For all of us experiencing Downton withdrawals.
17 more days….
I moustache you a question…
Blogging fashion genius @Petit_Elefant made this comment on my instagram, “You’re an adorable mother.” That simple sentence made me well up with tears. Could be PMS, or it could be that that’s the best compliment I have ever received.
One day my daughters and I will be on the same cycle. We may be an incarnation of the trifecta. There really is never a convenient time for Aunt Flow to visit. Never. Doesn’t she know she’s not wanted?
Modern Family, on the other hand… I want to move in.
Our little trifecta enjoys a bedtime snack of Tazo Passion tea with a bit of honey, toast with raspberry preserves and a pat of butter.
Then cap it all off with some bridging.
…and a tiny tunneler.
For those of us that enjoyed Ferris and his antics. Clever, nostaligic Honda commercial with Matthew Broderick.
