I love watching my daughters be friends.
Lately, they’ve been all about writing in their journals. They also illustrate their entries with darling little drawings. As a mother who loves to write, seeing them enjoy words, thrills me to the tips of my toes.
I had wondered if I should check their diaries, but discovered that they, like their mother, love to share what they wrote with an audience.
I love how this photo shows both their varied personalities. My oldest has her socks on, and her hairband on, and is sitting properly. My youngest has abandoned her socks and hairband, and is sitting with wild abandon.
I look at them and I see them in me, and me in them. We’re whole, we’re connected.
I’m so grateful for all these moments that keep me focused on how blessed I am. These moments make motherhood magnificent.
