On Monday of this week, I had the pleasure of hanging out with the good people of Good Day Sacramento to talk about back-to-school products. Last time I was on Good Day Sacramento, I talked about moms bringing sexy back. That was fun too.
In case you missed the segment, here it is:
Courtney Dempsey is even more beautiful, and lovely in person. It was also so fun to meet Ken Rudolph and Laura Skirde. In fact, I caught Ken in the hallway, outside the studio, during a break being a great daddy. I love catching glimpses of sweetness in people. It makes me happy.
I also dig the folks that make all the magic happen behind the camera. They’re all quality people. It’s been lovely getting to know them.
If you are interested in the products I featured, you can find them below.
I have to share with you a little funny.
Monday we talked about that foul, four-letter word, LICE. Then on Wednesday, after school, I heard from a mom that there was a lice outbreak happening at school. Are you kidding me? To be truthful, since I have never had lice as a child, and never known, or remember anyone with it, am a complete newbie to it, and pretty paranoid right now. When I was sharing the LiceGuard’s RobiComb I sort of thought, whatever, I’ll never need it.
I know. Famous last words.
Frankly, I’m so glad I have the RobiComb. I’ve been checking my daughters to see if they have any dastardly lice, and we’re clear so far. I’m also braiding their hair back, and keeping it tied up, and slathered with hairspray to keep their hair from the difficult critters. Apparently, lice love clean hair. So after showers, I braid up the hair and get it all dirty again. It feels utterly mental.
I have to say, this little lice outbreak at our school, could not have come at a more inconvenient time. For the next two weekends I have two birthday parties planned for my daughters. When you mess with my parties, I am not pleased.
This picture with Damon is making me feel a bit better.
So please, send up a prayer, good thoughts, and whatever other good luck charms our way. Let’s hope we get through this unscathed.
This is not a sponsored post. I was sent the products, and all opinions are my own.
