I discovered eBags Packing Cubes.
You might think, “whoop-dee-do, a bag to put inside my suitcase.”
Oh, but then you’d be fooling yourself.
Have you ever looked for someone’s sock, or pajama, or must have shirt only to pull out every item, but the one you need, only to discover it’s in the other suitcase? Then, the mess you’ve created just irritates you and pretty soon dirty clothes, get mixed into the clean clothes, and you simply give up any sense of organizing it all, and living out of a suitcase becomes your own personal purgatory.
Or, maybe that’s just my own little insane asylum.
With eBags Packing Cubes whenever I need an item, or an outfit, I would simply pull out the cubes I needed, which were easy to see through the mesh, keep things together, get them out, re-zip and put it neatly back. Oh. My. Goodness. It felt so good. So. Good.
For that long vacation we had planned, I was able to separate out our clothes; tops, bottoms, his, hers, the girls, socks and underwear, swimsuits, etc. The best part? I was able to locate whatever I needed, instantly, without rifling through and completely mucking up the rest of the clothing, and items in our suitcases.
I had cubes for sunscreen, over the counter meds, knick knacks, and treats. I’m a fan of lists, and categories, so the cubes were wonderful.
Once we were on-board the ship, I simply pulled out each packing cube and voila, unpacking all done. The eBags Packing Cubes are like portable drawers. If you’re in a hotel, that makes unpacking a breeze, and you don’t have to live out of a rectangular abyss.
Now that I have eBags Packing Cubes, I’ll use them on every trip. In fact, they’re with me now in the South Bay. They are so easy, so convenient, and make someone like me, look like a neat freak. Which, is an illusion that makes me happy to live in.
eBags come in a variety of colors and sizes to fit your needs, and style. They often have sales, and deals, so you can get them when it works for your budget, or time frame. I can’t believe how much easier packing is with them. If you have kids, they make your job easier.
On the trip back, stick all the dirty clothes in them, and keep it all separate. You can clean your cubes by throwing them in cold water, gentle cycle, and then air dry them. Voila, ready to go again.
Who knew how lovely organization could be?
What’s your system for packing for family vacations? If you’ve used eBags Packing Cubes, what are your thoughts?
ps. I was not approached, nor compensated by eBags for this post. They really should though, as I’m a fan.
