Happy Wednesday! I’m over at Today’s Mama talking about a funtastic museum we visited in San Diego when we were vacationing for Thanksgiving. Have you been to The New Children’s Museum of San Diego? What was your favorite exhibit?
Does your family love museums like this as much as we do? We love these museums because they are not like school at all. Maybe this is how school ought to be. If you love to create, imagine, play, and learn – you’re our kind of museum buddies.
The current exhibit features…. TRASH. Yes, trash. How much we create, how to recycle, how artists have installed recycled art, that the kids can play, explore and re-imagine to their heart’s delight.
Below, my daughters are creating art out of recyclable materials. Then they display the art for two years, put their names on the wall, and voila! Artists with exhibits.
We always say YES to bubbles.
Climb?! Is that even a question? We climb. Always.
The girls wanted to climb this cool piece of art. When asked why, “because it’s so pretty!”
The above art installation – recycled, shredded plastic. So pretty. I want it in my home.
Just outside The New Children’s Museum of San Diego is an enclosed park. Downtown San Diego is absolutely lovely.
Love San Diego.
